Doublewide

Manufactured or Mobile Homes are built in sections that are generally between 10 feet wide to 14 feet wide. The widths are measured at the widest point usually where the roof extends past the outer wall. The width is restricted by the fact that the home will be transported from the plant where it was built to the dealers lot and/or directly to the site where they will be setup over the roadways. A doublewide refers to a MH with 2 sections.

One Half of a Double-Wide Leaving the Manufacurers Plant.

People write the word in different ways such as Double-Wide or DW, but they all mean the same thing.
